Life with two babies

This was my first week at home alone with two babies. I just have to say that we are going to be busy. We had our first outing yesterday (just me and the boys) and I had to make three trips to the van. Trip 1- diaperbags, trip 2- CBoy, and trip 3- Ryan. At one point, I think both boys were crying at the same time. But other than that, we are managing pretty well. Ryan sleeps all the time, a little different than his brother. He seems to be a very good baby. He is very alert when he is awake and knows mommy and daddy's voice pretty well.

The other day we had Ryan in his bouncy seat and Collin crawled on top of him so yes we really need to watch the two of them more closely. Collin is sweet to Ryan, he loves to give him "huggies" and rests his head on his baby brother's head. Today he was pushing him in his swing and found his paci and tried to put it into baby Ryan's mouth. Too cute! I just love these boys to pieces.

38 weeks

I had my doctors appointment today and I am at 2 cm and 60% effaced. I guess all these horrible contractions that I am having are actually doing something after all. I am so scared this time around about labor. I do not think that there has been enough time that has gone by for me to forget what labor pain really felt like. The doctor tried stripping my membranes this morning. Not sure if it is going to work or not. The doctor does not feel that method really does work. But some doctors think that it does, and I know many people that have had that done and it ended up working. So we will see.

37 Week Check up

I am 1 cm dilated and 40 % effaced. Not that it matters! It looks like we will be induced next week. I have one more appointment on Monday and then we head to the hospital. The doctor agrees that I just have BIG babies and this little man is no acception. So Ryan should be here sometime next week :0 I am getting excited! We finally put up the crib and are cleaning and setting baby stuff up like crazy. It is hard to imagine that sometime next week we will be a family of seven! I can't wait to see him. I will keep everyone posted!
